EMail Parrot in Europe - Private Email Relay with an EU Roadmap

EMail Parrot in Europe

EMail Parrot is a privacy-focused email relay service. It lets groups, families, and small organizations communicate by email without exposing the real email addresses of their members, and without carrying the tracking content that rides along in most modern email.

Think of it as a VPN for your email: a relay that sits between your mailbox and the wider internet, translating between a private address space and the public one. You keep your existing email provider and your existing email client. EMail Parrot changes what the outside world sees.

How it works

EMail Parrot does not forward email. It reconstructs it.

Every message that passes through the service is rebuilt from scratch: new headers, member addresses replaced with private aliases, tracking pixels removed, and links carrying identifying tracking parameters sanitized (originals preserved in an attachment), with each copy delivered individually so no recipient ever sees another recipient’s address. The original message headers, and the tracking identifiers embedded in them, never leave the system.

This design is the subject of a pending United States patent application covering bidirectional anonymous email communication between groups and external parties.

Why this matters in Europe

European regulators are treating email tracking with increasing seriousness. In April 2026, the French data protection authority (CNIL) published a recommendation requiring prior consent for tracking pixels in email, with the burden of proof on the sender. The Italian authority (Garante) has set a similar deadline for October 2026. Enforcement against consent violations in email has already produced substantial fines.

EMail Parrot approaches the problem from the other side: instead of managing consent for tracking, it removes tracking content from the mail it relays. Recipients behind an EMail Parrot address receive mail with tracking pixels removed and tracking links sanitized of identifying parameters (originals preserved in an attachment), and their real addresses are never exposed to senders.

Our European roadmap

Today, EMail Parrot operates on infrastructure in the United States. We believe European users deserve European infrastructure under European law, and our roadmap reflects that:

  • Deployment in the AWS European Sovereign Cloud, providing EU data residency with operational and legal separation from non-EU regions
  • A European legal entity to operate the EU service
  • EU-based data processing terms appropriate for organizations subject to the GDPR

We are in dialogue with European legislators on email privacy and are actively exploring partnerships with European organizations that share our view of where email privacy is heading.
